The main industry sector of focus for this position will be Oil & Gas (Energy) Exploration & production (E&P;). The aim of Marketing & sales is to find opportunities for identified contract personnel and potential contract personnel. The Marketing & Sales personnel will bring to the attention of potential and existing clients the CV’s of personnel. Primarily the position will market western expatriates for positions and potential positions. Notwithstanding this, from time to time third country nationals can also be marketed to clients and potential clients. KEY JOB FUNCTIONS: Identify and secure clients Develop and implement Client agreements Identify and recommend appropriate marketing and sales strategies TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES: Identify and secure new clients: Undertake sales opportunity surveys and scout for opportunities. Cold call potential clients and secure contract and staff employee opportunities. Market contractors on Client Services to existing and potential clients. Build strong relationships with client personnel of strategic importance (Ie: HR, Drilling Managers, HSE Managers, Training Managers and Operational Managers). Review industry materials to look for sales opportunities. Develop and implement Client agreements: Negotiate contract terms with clients; focusing on contract obtainment and net profitability according to authorities set forth herein. Develop and ensure signing of Client Agreements/Contracts in ALL cases using the client's templates provided (Marketing & Sales will have authority to sign on behalf of client. Ensure all aspects of the Agreement/Contract are adhered to and met. When directed, control invoicing with clients. Liaise closely with Recruiter to ensure profitability of the contract being entered into. Identify and recommend appropriate marketing and sales strategies: Assess the best methods of marketing Client to our target markets. Make recommendations to the Director on advertising and marketing strategies. Develop annual sales and marketing survey and summary of recommendations to the Director in March of each year. Constantly assess sales for profitability and value add Assess website and internet marketing strategy of the company and lead improvements where approved. SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED/PREFERRED: REQUIRED: Recognized qualification in Sales & Marketing 5+yrs Sales & marketing functional experience Demonstrated exemplary interpersonal skills. Good data management skills and demonstrated computer software literacy. Excellent grasp of English language (Written & Verbal) Highly Motivated Self Starter. PREFERRED: Previous experience in the Oil & Gas industry Knowledge of Drilling, Completions and Workover Operations, in onshore, offshore and remote areas. AUTHORITIES: This position will in most cases act quite independently and will therefore be empowered to make decisions about the contract value, profitability and contract inclusions. The following are the authorities of Marketing & Sales: Approval of Director or Financial Controller : Any one time expenditure over US$1,000 Expenditure that will take total monthly expenditure over US$2,000. Salary Payments Invoice Payments greater than 70% before the due date All outgoing invoices Reducing the profit margin on a contract to Net less than 5% Fully Authorized: Advertising expenditure up to US$1,000 (One off) and under US$2,000 for the month Due invoices Reducing the profit margin on a contract to Net between 5% and 10% Critical System Access: Access to company bank accounts (On Line) Access to company positional email and internet Access to full history of company financial statements and previous contracts inclusions.
