and gas drilling company is expanding their current workforce and looking for an Oil Rig Superindent. The position will be offered on a contractual or permanent position. This position is open to a rig wise candidate who has a proven track record within an international drilling organization.. Must be reliable, hard working and sensitive to other cultures. experience working in other countries would be seen as a positive. PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE Must have six or more years in relevant experience, preferably in an Oil and Gas environment. Associate degree in Technology or technical discipline, or 4 years experience in technical position. Supervisory experience is preferred. Oilfield experience is required. Must pass pre-employment and random drug tests. OTHER DUTIES MAY INVOLVE THE FOLLOWING BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: Keeping records of work performed. Reading blueprints, diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures. Ensure that all reporting routines are followed and that all equipment related paperwork are carried out within your area of responsibility, such as maintenance records, updating of service and instruction manuals, instructing procedures, etc. Being familiar with all classification society and authorities rules and regulations applicable to your area of responsibility. Being safety conscious and using compulsory protective equipment. Participating on the emergency response team as necessary. Providing technical experience to employees and management. Ensuring familiarity with all applicable work and safety procedures, and promoting implementation of same. Promptly reporting all accidents, near-miss accidents, non-conformance and safety hazards to your immediate superior. Ensuring good housekeeping in your working areas. You must deliver exceptional safety and service quality. You must have good knowledge of spoken & written English WORKING CONDITIONS: Working 12-hour shifts and being on call 24 hours per day while not on duty. Maintain at all times, an active role in HSE compliance. Working in air-conditioned office, outside, workshop, and at offshore or land rig with: Frequent exposure to rig noise, caustic mud and chemicals used in drilling operations, movement of machine parts, and using tools with radioactive components. Occasional exposure to extreme heat and/ or cold (depending on location assignment), outdoor work, handling of electrical equipment, working with explosive material, and working near a radiation source. Traveling to rigs by car, truck, helicopter, and/ or boat and remaining at well-site for completion of job. May include domestic & international work locations. PHYSICAL CAPABILITIES: Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 20 pounds; infrequently lift and carry up to 80 pounds. Ability to infrequently push and pull up to 110 pounds. Ability to frequently sit; occasionally stand, walk, handle, finger, use eye-hand coordination, and use foot control; infrequently climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, feel, use eye/ hand/ foot coordination, and twist upper body. Ability to use senses of smell, hearing, and touch. Ability to demonstrate near and far acuity and depth perception; ability to define color preferred. OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to obtain a work visa for other countries Ability to think and reason, solve problems, work with speed and accuracy, use correct grammar, read with speed and comprehension, apply mechanical reasoning, use three-dimensional skills, and work in word processing, spreadsheet/ database programs, and specialized Company software programs. Ability to work well with others. Comply with applicable company policies, including Personnel, Quality System and Health, Safety and Environment standards and procedures. Basic engineering, Electrical, electronic, and mechanical skills. Valid driver’s license and passport. Solid organizational skills. Ability to clearly communicate in English: including reading, writing, listening, and speaking. Ability to read and interpret diagrams/ schematic diagrams, manuals/ operating manuals and write business letters and statistical and technical reports. Ability to apply basic arithmetic operations, practical algebra or geometry, fractions, percentages, and ratios; compute ratios, rates, and percentages; and understand angles and their properties. Self-motivating and independent. Willing to take on responsibility and be accountable for your actions. All duties must be inline with all compliance and legislation and HSE policy.
